not in NYC. Ate our indoors first time last night. 2 hours. “Distanced” but all patrons seated in the same section of the restaurant. ok to request going forward to speed up service? Or just skip altogether.
Yep, there’s definitely going to be a resurgence in the fall/winter. I don’t know how these restaurants will be able to keep going will minimal income for so long.
I live in an EU country that was very badly affected and is now having spots of resurgence... We are back to going to restaurants a couple times a week, inside or outside. We’ve had parties and play dates. Friends visit from other regions. We were locked down so severely that we all just want our lives back and accept the (relatively minor) risk involved. Life is meant to be lived.
Resurgence in the US is very strongly linked to bars, restaurants and religious service. I won't set foot in any of the places until we have this under control, meaning cases on a downward trajectory for over 14 days and a positive test rate of under 5%.
We're at our country place and there isn't much around. We had fancy take out for my birthday and we have picked up pizza a few times. We ate pick up pizza at an outdoor table with no service. It was fine except for the table of unmasked guests who were letting their children run around.
no, if you are going to go you can't make requests like that -- they are having to work w much less people on staff and are doing best they can. I just skip it altogether, order take out.
Ate OUT indoors. FWIW this establishment probably typically has slow service - they want you to consume more alcohol.
I can't do indoor dining yet. To paranoid about transmission (person to person and air conditioning system). Happy to sit outside.
That’s going to suck for restaurants when the weather gets cold.

I'm not even doing takeout!
Really? I guess I'm just lazy. Been doing take out since March.
Why?

You do you.

Do you do take out though. I've been doing that but I'm not interested in eating at a restaurant indoor or outdoor.

We started getting take out in June. Careful about receiving it and washing hands. We won’t eat in a restaurant for a long time.

You’re right.
