I currently live in Kansas, left NYC 6 years ago, but have been planning to move back for almost 2 years now. Of course Covid has put a pause on all that. And now Kansas seems to be one of the red states on the Covid map. So not sure when I will be able to move back, but still in my plans.
Will be returning next week from ''blacklisted state" will quarantine but can't find any official information on if they will contact me or if I need to reach out to them. I will be watching this post. I doubt NYC is as organized as Hawaii.
I returned from a "blacklisted" state 11 days ago. We were asked to fill out an information affidavit-type thing on the airplane with our history, current health and contact information. Supposedly someone was supposed to collect them as we exited the gate but nobody did so obviously they are lax on the organizational end. I usually turn off location services on my mobil phone but have a friend who did not and she received a text on her phone stating that she had returned from a blacklisted state and was required to quarantine for 14 days. Personally I know I didn't have high exposure but have been self-isolating most of the time. I am alone right now so did have to make a few runs to the grocery store but went early in the AM and didn't stay long. I've also gone running a few times because I get very depressed if I don't. Regardless, I made a point in leaving my mobil phone at home. I have no symptoms and the people I left in the fallout zone have not as well.
For comparison, I have a friend who went to Germany and said that he was tested for Covid upon his arrival and asked to quarantine for 4 days. Talk about organized!

People like you are so entitled! Gross not to quarantine no matter with whom you came into contact. Bleh. I'm sure you're a flaming liberal cheering Cuomo on.
I came back a week ago and have been quarantining (truly, I havent gone outside since I got back). They did collect our info at the airport (and they took the forms), they texted my husband but not me. People should respect the quarantine, really annoyed at people who don't.

Yes, that is my question as well. I saw that if you fly in, you are required to report. I'm confused about driving.
You will be asked to fill out a form providing some details of your trip and your personal contact information after you get off the plan.
