I was given a bunch of KN95 by well meaning people as a donation since I work in healthcare. Be careful, these masks can be defective and can provide a false sense of security. The masks I received had lots of visible holes in them along the cheek line, rendering them useless for healthcare purpose.
I just bought some at Athleta. The one specifically for kids are very small, perhaps too small for your 7 year old. But the adult ones are adjustable and work well.
It's been hit or miss for my DD, 7 with masks. I've tried a few vendors on Etsy. All different fabrics, all different fits. Bought the sets at Gap, were too tight on her ears. for a younger kid, they are cute though. Just ordered 2 new brands on Amazon. So really no advice except if you find one that is comfortable on your child, keep ordering that one.
I would give him a KN95 at least; those kerchief or cloth ones seem inadequate on the bus or at close distances.

I’ve been happy with joah love. Wash/dry to shrink. They have kid sizes.
OP: Have been seeing these all over instagram. TY for the recommendation - was hoping to find something made in the US!
